Friday Favorites: Early Morning Exercise

I know I’m in the minority. I love mornings. I guess I am just lucky that I feel pretty awake and generally pretty happy to simply be seeing another day.

For many years, one of my favorite morning activities has been to get a little exercise. This habit started when I would visit my parents’ house during college breaks. I would have the chance to get up and take a cruise with my dad, either walking or on bikes. It’s a great time to catch up, and it’s gives me great satisfaction to know that much of the world is still asleep while you’re burning a few calories. These days I am trying to exercise a few times a week before my darling baby son wakes for the day.

I hope someday he’ll join me for exercise and conversation during my favorite time of day.
