This week I’m letting freedom ring. I’ve got some stuff to do, but my commitments are pretty minimal. I guess I’m sort of having on of those “stay-cataions” everybody’s talking about since everything is so expensive, you know, hangin’ in my ‘hood and so forth. I’m mostly hanging out at home, uploading pictures, organizing and getting it together a little bit. What an excellent vacation right? Actually, it has been.
Also, it’s been a pretty great couple of weeks, especially with THREE family visits in only two weeks. To have no real commitments outside of a few things is cool.
Saturday Tom and Sally and supercute Hope made the trek with us to the beach. Here’s video of Jenny and me shrieking hysterically and me plunging into the ocean before the game of chicken even technically began.* I am such a loser at games, always, no matter what. Our whole gang was there — Matt, Jenny, Calvin, Duane, Jim and our fam. BEST BEACH DAY EVER. I think it goes without saying that this time especially, the terrorists didn’t win.
* I am shooting the video. I should have seen it coming. Maybe next time.

Best.Video.Ever.
That is all.
Your losing streak comes down to this: cheaters usually win. Believe me, I have some expertise here.
Furthermore, I love that phrase…”goes without saying” (well, clearly it doesn’t, unless we’re describing a mime out for a walk!)
Tom’s right–long tradition of cheating there, which is why to this day I loathe the board game monopoly. However, I don’t want to take anything away from Jenny. She even beat the most towering of turkeys in this chicken fight series. What a day!
I’m LOLing re: “trusty steed” and “most towering of turkeys!”
